Color is Blossoming in the Home!
Bright, bold color palettes are making a big come back in home decor. From fashion to furniture, pops of color and pattern are giving an exciting design aesthetic. Do you really love a particular color? Try painting your walls the same color as your window treatments. Seen here, the wall color perfectly matches the Carole Fabrics Relaxed Pleat Draperies, creating a saturated color palette.Repetitive contrasting colors make the room cohesive and energized with intrigue. As seen here, the client chose Magenta and Green in her home office to inspire and keep her creative energy flowing. The lime green walls make the Low Profile Belvedere Cornice and matching Soft Roman Shade pop in the room as they boast deeply saturated magenta fabrics.
Choosing contrasting colors is easy! Choose your first choice color and find its contrasting color by drawing a line directly across the color wheel. For example, other contrasting color pairs are Cyan and Orange, Blue and Red, and Yellow and Purple!
Not sure you can commit to strong contrasting colors? Why not bring bright tones to your interior by utilizing colorful accessories? With plain white walls and a muted blue sofa, brightly patterned custom draperies accented with vibrant pillows and decor bring the pops of color without committing fully.
Plus, as colors and trends shift, you are able to change up the entire look of the room by replacing the draperies and pillows for a fresh look for very little cost!
Do you really love color and bold patterns? Why not mix and match to create a fun and eclectic aesthetic. By layering bold colors, you embrace an exciting interior that will be sure to keep you interested. You can do this easily by choosing a multi-colored fabric with lots of varying hues. Use this main fabric as the statement piece.
In this vignette, I chose to use this fabric for a Front Fold Roman Shade, then I accented the pattern by ordering Stria Draperies with color blocks matching three of the main colors in the original fabric. To round out the look, I ordered varying patterns and colors in custom Carole Fabrics Pillows to tie the whole room together.
